How I cured my acne sensitive oily skin

Here I will be telling you about how I removed my persistent acne completely and stopped them from reoccurring.

Firstly, I have a super sensitive oily skin. I started having pimples from my early teenage.  Now, I was kind of less self-conscious person and so I didn’t care until it started to become worse. They never went away and left very dark spots all over my face. I started using moisturizers, toners, cleansers and other skin care products for acne and oily skin, but they all seemed to make my problem worse. I also tried many natural remedies from the internet, but none of them really helped. I must say, I never had any severe case of acne or cystic acne. It was always mild to moderate for me. In case of severe acne, you must consult a dermatologist.

My pimples kept reoccurring and I had zits all over my cheek and forehead. Every morning I woke up with oil on my face and I started getting blackheads on my nose. I was loosing my self confidence and avoided going out my house until I found this remedy which really worked for me. It also helped my oily skin to a great extent.
I cannot guarantee that it will work for everyone but it definitely did wonders for me, so I thought it’s worth sharing.

I started using the Himalaya Neem Purifying face wash from Himalaya Herbals twice a day: once in the morning and once in the evening. This is a very mild face wash without any harsh chemical. It removed oils from my face after washing without making my skin dry. This one is available all over India and is very cheap too. You can get a 50 ml tube for Rs. 55 only.

The second one is essential oils. Though I was reluctant to use oil on my already oily skin, I thought to give it a try after reading so many good things about them from a number of blogs on the internet. I got jojoba oil and lavender essential oil from Khadi Herbals from amazon.in.  You can get 15 ml of each oil for Rs. 350.

Now, essential oils should never be used directly on the skin. They should be mixed with a carrier oil. I used jojoba oil as a carrier, because it mimics our skin’s sebum and is very helpful for oily skin. I mixed about 30 drops of the lavender essential oil in 15 ml of jojoba oil. I used this a few times, but I noticed that my skin looks a little oily. So, I started to use this mixture along with water.
After washing my face in the morning with Himalaya Purifying Neem face wash, I took a drop of the essential oil mix in my palm and added 3-4 drops of water with it and applied the mixture all over my face. This way my face didn’t look oily. I did it once a day, regularly. The very first day, I noticed that my face didn’t become oily after a few hours as it usually did. I kept on repeating the procedure daily for a week and noticed a significant change in my skin. The pimples started to occur less often and the small zits disappeared. The oiliness decreased and I started waking up with soft and acne free skin. The dark spots due to my previous pimples also faded. I was so relieved that something finally worked
